Check-in is from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. Please contact us if you need special arrangements for check-in.

Check-out

Guests must check-out by 11:00am. Late check-out (12:00pm) is available with our romance packages.

Guests per room: 2 maximum

Our suites sleep two people maximum, so please, no additional guests. Each suite contains one king size bed. Friends, relatives, and associates of staying guests are not permitted the use of the property, gardens, or suites.

Adults Only

Our suites are perfect for a quiet, relaxing getaway. Guests must be at least 18 years old. Our suites are not suitable for children or infants.

No Parties Or Events

We strive to provide our guests with a quiet, private experience. Please, no parties or special events. Friends, relatives, and associates of staying guests are not permitted the use of the property, gardens, or suites.

Photograpghy

Our suites are perfect for a magical photoshoot — take all the pictures you like. We love seeing all of the videos and photos that our guests post to social media so feel free to tag us as well. If you would like to bring in a professional photographer please contact us for special permission.

Quiet Please

Our guests are entitled to the peaceful enjoyment of their stay during daylight hours. No noise after 10:00PM.

No Pets

Sorry, pets are not allowed. Please contact us if you have a registered guide dog.

BOOKING AND CANCELLATION Policy

PAYMENT

Full payment is due upon booking.

BOOKING CHANGES

Changes to your reservation are free of charge up to 30 days prior to check-in.

No changes to your reservation within 29 days of check-in.

CANCELLATION

Cancellations made more than 30 days prior to check-in will be issued full refunds (less a 5% service fee).

Cancellations made within 15-29 days of check-in will be issued a 50% refund.

Cancellations made within 14 days of check-in will not be issued refunds.

No refunds will be issued for late arrivals or early departures.

DAMAGE PROTECTION Policy

PRE-AUTHORIZATION

A pre-authorization of $500 is due the day of check-in and released 2 days after check-out.

PROPERTY DAMAGE

Please treat our property, suites, and gardens with care and respect. Full charges will apply for replacements or repairs to the property, gardens, suites, decor, and other items. Any damage will incur a minimum repair fee of $500.

NO SMOKING

We are a non-smoking hotel. Smoking of any kind is prohibited on the entire property, including the driveway, parking lot, courtyard, gardens, and suites. This includes, but is not limited to: cigarettes, cigars, e-cigarettes, vapes, and cannabis. Any infraction will incur a minimum cleaning fee of $500.

SAFETY & LIABILITY

ACCESSIBILITY

The North Star and Copper Crown are multi-level suites; guests must climb stairs. The Under Hill is a single level suite and has no stairs.

PARKING

Complementary onsite parking and EV charging stations are available. However, we are not responsible for the security of, or damage to, your vehicle or its contents.

SAFETY

Our property, gardens, and suites are fully themed environments. Potential hazards include, but are not limited to: uneven, hard, sharp, and slippery surfaces, heights, water features, and open flames. Enjoy your stay at your own risk.

GUEST RESPONSIBILITIES

Please treat our property, gardens, suites, staff, and other guests with care and respect. Guests are responsible and liable for their own acts and omissions and are also responsible for the acts and omissions of anyone they invite to join or provide access to the property, suites, or gardens. Guests must assume, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the risks associated with the use of the property, suites, or gardens. Guests must agree to abide by the our Terms & Conditions including our Booking & Cancellation Policy and Damage Protection Policy. Furthermore, all guests must agree to be bound by our RELEASE OF LIABILITY, WAIVER OF CLAIMS, ASSUMPTION OF RISKS, AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT.

Fire SafEty

Absolutely no candles, incense, or open flames, or flames of any kind are permitted during your stay.

Absolutely no cooking over the garden fire tables and fireplaces.

Construction

The Under Hill and Copper Crown Suites are currently under construction. Our construction team makes every effort to be as unobtrusive as possible. However, some noise and disruption is unavoidable. Thank you for your understanding.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY, WAIVER OF CLAIMS, ASSUMPTION OF RISKS, AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT

TO: HAZELNUT INN (the “Hotel”) and any parent companies, subsidiary companies, directors, officers, employees, instructors, guides, agents, representatives, independent contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, hosts, volunteers, successors and assigns (all of whom are hereinafter referred to as the “Releasees”).

ASSUMPTION OF RISKS: I am aware that I (and anyone staying at the Hotel with me) may be exposed to many risks, dangers and hazards including, but not limited to: open flames, fire bowls, fireplaces; water features, fountains, waterfalls, streams, soaker tubs, showers; heights, stairs, steps, bridges, and balconies; uneven, hard, sharp, and slippery surfaces, concrete, tile, steel, wood, rock, earth, snow, ice, and other objects, changing weather conditions; walking, swinging doors, swinging gates; changes or variations in the terrain; collision with trees, fences, vehicles, equipment or structures; collision with other persons; loss of balance or control; failure to act safely or within one’s own ability or to stay within designated areas; negligence of other persons; and NEGLIGENCE ON THE PART OF THE RELEASEES. I UNDERSTAND THAT NEGLIGENCE INCLUDES FAILURE ON THE PART OF THE RELEASEES TO TAKE REASONABLE STEPS TO SAFEGUARD OR PROTECT ME FROM THE RISKS, DANGERS AND HAZARDS REFERRED TO ABOVE. I am also aware that the risks, dangers and hazards referred to above may exist throughout the Hotel property and that many hazards are unmarked. I FREELY ACCEPT AND FULLY ASSUME ALL SUCH RISKS, DANGERS AND HAZARDS AND THE POSSIBILITY OF PERSONAL INJURY, DEATH, OR PROPERTY DAMAGE OR LOSS RESULTING THEREFROM.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY, WAIVER OF CLAIMS AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT:

In consideration of the Releasees accepting my reservation and permitting my use of the Hotel, I hereby agree as follows:

  1. TO WAIVE ANY AND ALL CLAIMS that I have or may in the future have against THE RELEASEES, and TO RELEASE THE RELEASEES from any and all liability for any loss, damage, expense or injury including death that I may suffer, or that my next of kin may suffer resulting from either my use of or my presence on the Hotel or travel beyond the Hotel property, DUE TO ANY CAUSE WHATSOEVER, INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE, BREACH OF CONTRACT, OR BREACH OF ANY STATUTORY OR OTHER DUTY OF CARE, INCLUDING ANY DUTY OF CARE OWED UNDER ANY APPLICABLE OCCUPIERS’ LIABILITY ACT LEGISLATION ON THE PART OF THE RELEASEES. I UNDERSTAND THAT NEGLIGENCE INCLUDES FAILURE ON THE PART OF THE RELEASEES TO TAKE REASONABLE STEPS TO SAFEGUARD OR PROTECT ME FROM THE RISKS, DANGERS AND HAZARDS REFERRED TO ABOVE;

  2. TO HOLD HARMLESS AND INDEMNIFY THE RELEASEES from any and all liability for any damage to Hotel property or personal injury to any third party, resulting from my use of or presence on the Hotel or travel beyond the Hotel property;

  3. This Release Agreement shall be effective and binding upon my heirs, next of kin, executors, administrators, assigns and representatives, in the event of my death or incapacity;

  4. This Release Agreement and any rights, duties and obligations as between the parties to this Release Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted solely in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and no other jurisdiction; and

  5. Any litigation involving the parties to this Release Agreement shall be brought solely within City of Chilliwack in the Province of British Columbia, and shall be within the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of the Province of British Columbia.

  6. I confirm that I am of the full age of 18 years, and I agree to accept full responsibility for any medical, dental, or related bills and costs from injuries incurred at the aforementioned event that are not covered by my own policy.

  7. In entering into this Release Agreement I am not relying upon any oral or written representations or statements made by the Releasees with respect to the safety of the event other than what is set forth in this Agreement.
