Our Fairy Godmothers at the Imagination Corporation visited us in a whimsical pumpkin carriage. We managed to snap a few photo’s before they went on their way to the ball. 😂😂😂
There is something magical about a walk in a garden. They are a feast for the senses. Colourful flowers fill the air with their fragrance. Cool water tumbles softly over rocks. The sun warms your skin and for just a moment, the world feels peaceful.
Many thanks to Daniel Hoffmann for a lovely article at UniqHotels, featuring our magical little hotel!
Our family has been dreaming about our magical little hotel for a decade now — and working hard to make our crazy dream a reality for almost as long. In fact, we’ve had our heads down and working for so long it almost doesn’t seem real that we’re actually open now!
But, this spring we did finally open our first suite — the North Star — and it has been amazing to share our dream with our guests! Now of course, we don’t get to sit down and chat with them, but they have left such kind words in our guest book. It’s both heartwarming and energizing and I just wanted to thank them for visiting us.
We look forward to hosting them again — perhaps in our next suite: the Under Hill !
Like many people, as a teen, I spent a lot of time with my friends. We’d watch movies at my house or I’d visit their homes to play games or listen to music.
And of course, I got to know many of my friends parents; I liked most of them and there were a few I admired, but I always felt that I had the best parents.
Other parents were kind, or intelligent, or passionate but it seemed to me that my parents had these qualities in just the right measure. And importantly (from my perspective) they were interested in me and my dreams.
30 years later I still feel that way. When Hailey and I first started talking about a little hotel that adds an aura of magic to a special occasion, they were right there dreaming with us.
This year my parents are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. And we were so pleased to have them stay at our magical little hotel.
Happy Anniversary to my favourite parents!
