Summer is rapidly approaching here in BC and so it is time to take down our temporary construction fencing and install something a little more permanent. We have opted to use the same style fence as our house. The two front yards will meld into one another and the fence will to provide some additional continuity.
The North Star’s statuary is coming along nicely these days. This caryatid will be mounted high on the wall. She will look down on our guests as they enter the suite.
Each time a big piece is moved into position the vision we hold in our heads becomes ever clearer. Today it was the Copper Crown’s gate structure that was set in place. It instantly defined the garden and made the structure much more castle like. The rest of the prefabricated pieces will soon complete the picture.
These day we have been concentrating on the Copper Crown’s exterior details. Included in this work are the tower finials. The suite features five towers and one of the tower will feature this fleur-de-lis weather vane.
Each of our three suites features a private garden. Moreover, each garden has a separate entrance. These gates are as distinctive as the suites themselves and the Copper Crown’s garden gate is no exception. The concrete is nearly complete and we will begin painting very soon!
